Dear friends:
First I have to request apologizes about my bad English.
After Installing Advanced mod rewrite in my forum, only the main page works, and the categories, topic, etc, are working wrong.
The forum is installed in http://www.laequitacion.com/foro
I have the .htacces file in the domain root directory with the following code. Maybe the problem is related with the fact that I have rewrite rules for my joomla site.
| Code: |

Dear friends:
Finally it worked. I changed the order of the rewrite sentences and put first the phpbb sentencens and then the joomla sentences, like this:
| Code: |

# @package Joomla

Do you think that all is now correct or maybe I will have problems in the future? It seems that both (phpbb and joomla) are working right now.
Thanks in advance.

And welcome
Your .htacces is good, but you just better start the mod rewrite and option once only, and before the first rewriterule.
Just delete :
| Code: |
## Can be commented out if causes errors, see notes above.
Options FollowSymLinks
#
# mod_rewrite in use
RewriteEngine On
# Uncomment following line if your webserver's URL
# is not directly related to physical file paths.
# Update Your Joomla! Directory (just / for root)
# RewriteBase / |
And replace :
| Code: | # You could need to un-comment the following line
#Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteBase / |
With :
| Code: | # You could need to un-comment the following line
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase / |
It's just cleaner to start mod_rewrite and options before the first rewriterule.
Besides, there should be no conflicts, the phpBB SEO mod rewrites RewriteRule are pretty strict
