It was because...
I tried to change the extension from .htm from .html in phpbb_seo_class.php

How can I actually achieve this??

You just need to do the same in the .htaccess.

If you want to make sure you'll catch both, you can replace all the "\.html" with "\.html?" in the .htaccess phpBB's rewriterules.

The zero duplicate will make sure the suffix you choose in phpbb_seo_class.php (html or htm) will be the only one considered by SEs.
