Hi
I am using advanced mod rewrite. I want to modify the latest post link on my idex page. NOw it is showing postXXX.html#XXXX I want to modifay it to be like the one on phpbb-seo.com/boards:
discussions-vtXXX.html#XXXX
or topic-title-vtXXXX#XXXX |

| So it is supposed to be "postXXX.html#XXXX" on the "last post" on the index page? I was pretty sure I installed something wrong and re-did everything... |

It's worth doing for the advanced mod otherwise members will backlink with the "post" links instead of the title-injected versions. |

I got a similar issue. I have installed a mod rewrite version, and Im using kind of a cms , happens that when I fetch the latest 10 post from my forum to my portal's index, I dont get urls like my forum's.
Instead of | Code: | | site.com/forum/forum-title-vf2.php |
, I get:
| Code: | | site.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 |
, Understand?
and thats why i disallow with robots.txt this kind of dynamic urls. Until I solve this.
Im using phpbbfetchall script from phpbbfethall.com as cms
So, How can I get urls the way is from my forum to my index?

Well, with the zero dupe, chances are very little that this will happen IMHO, since very few user will use the right click save this link option on their browser but will rather copy the url from the browser navigation bar after they will have been redirected.
About phpbbfetchall, we did start to work on it a bit here http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/phpbb-mod-rewrite/discussions-vt19.html#104
It's for the webmedic mod rewrite, but the phpBB SEO patch would be very similar. You'd need to replace make_url_friendly with $phpbb_seo->format_url and make sure you set up the proper delimiters (since they are there hard coded, and suffixes.
