Ciao .. Hi to all!!!

I tried to use the adv_phpbb3_mod_rewriteV0-4-0RC3
I have a forum in phpbb 3 RC5
you can visit it at www.lepedanevibranti.it

I had some problems:
copy the file in the root
make the change in the file indicated
open the file
www.mysite.it/forum/phpbb_seo/phpbb_seo_install.php

and the problem is that appear a page like phpbb ACP whit hte error:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) [1045]

BACKTRACE

I don't know if the problem is that I made the changes in LOCAL

Well it looks like this is coming from your config file.

You must have changed or moved it, and now the db password is not the good one.
'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) seems to be the settings for a local test server, since I don't think you did create a root account with no password on a live one.

So put back the config.php file that where previously online, and it should be ok.

I haven't changed o moved my config.php

I have made some test in LOCAL
ad I used for login and password for database:

LOGIN: ROOT
PASSWORD: (empty, no one password)

If I take off the changed file the forum march well.

you know if there is different using forum in local or on line?

or can you send me the correct file
maybe I do some mistake and I don't know where I did it.....

Well the difference si that they do not use the same data base obviously.

So you just need to put the correct info in your config.php file, which was automatically done when you installed phpBB online.
If you did install your forum online, and then overwrote the files with your local one, you just need to put back the original config.php file.

If not, you need to manually add the proper info in it (dbname, dbpassword, table prefix and dbuser).
