I can´t open phpbb_seo/phpbb_seo_install.php
i obtain only this error:
Language file phpbb_seo.php couldn't be opened.
But in directory language/en/ i see this file
Can anybody help me pls? |

i highly advise you to check the chmod of that file. usually it is 644 which won;t allow you to change it, only read. change it to anything that lets you change it, like 777  |

Do you mean chmod 777 for file phpbb_seo.php ?
or this:
4) CHMOD the phpbb_seo/cache/ folder to 0777; |

In fact, the file should be in that language folder which language you use. Isn't that so?
I had the same problem as the guy above because I use different language not "en", so I had to copy the file phpbb_seo.php to this location: language/sk/acp/ (I use slovak translation).
Maybe you should put that clear into the instalation guide. |

Well yes, but this is the same with all phpBB mods, if it's not translated into your language, then, you can use the English language file to start with.
It's more a general matter about installing mods than something specifically related to this mod IMHO. |

I am also getting this error now. 'Language file phpbb_seo.php couldn't be opened.'
I am trying to run it from this location. -http://www.financialaidforum.com/financial-aid-discussions/phpbb_seo/phpbb_seo_install.php
I don't understand when you say it should be in languages/en/acp because when I put it in there, -http://www.financialaidforum.com/financial-aid-discussions/language/en/acp/phpbb_seo_install.php
it's not finding the appropriate include files. Please help! |

Here we talk about the phpbb_seo.php language file, not the installer.
All you need to make sure is you upload at least the English language file in all you language dirs.
By default, the install will only tell you to install the English language file, so if you are using another language, you must have a language file for the mod there too.
It's the same with all mods.

| Thanks dcz, but for someone who is not an expert on mods, I still don't understand what you are referring to in your last post. If there is a better place to get help with the install, please direct me there because I'm still not clear on how to get the installer to work. Thanks for your help! |
