Language file phpbb_seo.php couldn't be opened.Posted: Thu Mar 20, 2008 1:17 pm    Post subject: Language file phpbb_seo.php couldn't be opened.

after copying the premodded files to my forum and running the install script i get the error message: Language file phpbb_seo.php couldn't be opened.

It's a german version of the forum and obviously you do not supply language files for it, but for now I just want to ignore language issues and see if and how the seo mod works on my forum. I don't care if parts of the forum are partly english and partly german, I just want it to work.

Any help is appreciated.

had to copy the mentioned file from the language/en folder to my language's folder.

Now another issue: During the Install, on each step I have to put in my login information again. Is this normal? What is it due to?

It's normal to have to enter the admin PW a second time when you click the ACL link for an installed board. That's to reduce the risk of admin access if you're logged in and walk away. To enter it every step is not normal and I'm not sure what the problem might be. I would guess your browser is blocking cookies. For an installed board, spontaneous logouts are usually because the cookie domain is set incorrectly. If your domain is -www.mywebsite.com, your cookie domain would be .mywebsite.com and the path is "/" (no quotes).
