url injection problemPosted: Thu Apr 10, 2008 6:17 pm    Post subject: url injection problem

Hi all

I just installed the phpBB SEO version of phpbb and started to play around a bit. I have set SID removing to yes together with some other settings.

Then I have generated the .htaccess file and put that in my root dir of the forum. But for some reason, the SID is still visible. What could be the problem? I also have set the options so that the forum id would be removed, but it is also still visible. My url now looks like this:

/your-first-forum/welcome-to-phpbb3-t1.html?sid=f22b50e64041db5eb850708aee15a585

So, as I understand it right, the sid should be gone, and also the "-t1" just before the .html extension. But it is still visible.

Anyone has an idea on this?

Thank you in advance

Your browser may not be accepting cookies. Look for a cookie from your forum with the suffix "_sid". As for the blah-blah-blah-T1.html, that's normal. The modified viewtopic.php uses the embedded -Tnn or -Fnn to know the topic/forum number.

Thank you for the reply. I thought that the id was going to be away. But thats not a big problem is its not.

I have checked my cookies and I do have a cookie with the _sid suffix. So I guess that won't be the problem.
