hi im a little confused about how google save the URL,
in my forum the URL's pattern is like this
/general-discussion/my-first-post-t35.html
(category)/(post title).html
which i think is good. but when i search this post on google i see that its pointing to a URL
mydomain.com/post22.html
did you do this on purpose because its good?
please help me. thank you |

Not really. postxx.html are post urls, and they should be disallowed by the robots.txt as told in the install file.
Otherwise, Google will crawl these before topic ones because they are shown on phpBB's index.
So what you need to do now is to install / activate the zero duplicate and set post redirection to at least "guests", and wait couple months before you implement the robots.txt (to allow redirecting prior to disallowing).
The no duplicate can be a way to go one step further since it will translate posts url to topic ones ( the one we optimize on).
