Rewritten URLs in UCP

Hello,

this is a feature request for the next version of the Advanced SEO URLs MOD: I'd really love to have rewritten URLs in UCP (bookmarks, notifications), too!

I know that search engines don't have access to the UCP but search engines are only one half of the truth: I use Advanced SEO URLs MOD chiefly to get pretty, meaningful URLs for my users, not for search engines.

example.com/karadzic-trial-started-t654.html

looks much prettier than

example.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=654

And when the URLs are also rewritten in UCP, members can simply take the links and post them in their messages. Then you see something like this in the post:

text text text text text text text text
karadzic-trial-started-t654.html
text text text text text text text text

and not

text text text text text text text text
viewtopic.php?f=69&t=654
text text text text text text text text

Well yes, but I sincerely doubt you'll see many links posted with the url grabbed from the bookmark list, very few users will actually use the right click save url on their browser, but rather will follow the link and copy the url from the address bar, at least from my experience.

And the zero dupe will have make so this url is all right so ...

Then, it's pretty much impossible to fully prevent vanilla urls from being posted, the good thing is that the zero dupe will again do the required stuff in such cases.

And, while working on converting phpBB SEO, I put together a link parser able to translate such links into bbcoded + title url rewritten ones Wink

It's now working great in my conversion tests, for both old rewritten urls and natural urls, as well as during posting / editing, it would now just need a way to parse all messages for boards doing so after conversion.

Could be added in the rebuild search table process, I need to look at it.
