URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects blah blah blah....
I have a new site up www.axiastudent.com using advanced rewrite and zero dups. I submitted my sitemap to google and 3 days later, its indexed 3 urls. I get an error message for every other link about the too many redirects thing.. am i doing something wrong, should I switch down to a different mode?
I did use the robots.txt file as the site is new, the site operated perfectly its just not google friendly apparently.
any asisstance will be greatly appreciated
PS I have the premod installed on 3 other sites that all get indexed correctly, but they are all using mixed mode. I decided to try advanced on this one.
thanks in advance |

The too many redirection errors actually occurs even with a single redirection either in the sitemaps or sitemapindex urls or, in the listed urls to the forums.
This means that if you submit sitemapindex.xml with gunzip and gunzip suffix with the zero duplicate activate in GYM, you'll have a redirection to sitemapindex.xml.gz, so you just need to submit the url you actually see when loading the sitemapindex, sitemapindex.xml.gz in your case.
Another possibility would be for example if you submit a sitemap with un rewritten urls to the forum, with the zero duplicate and mod rewrite installed there, in such case the viewtopic.php ulrs get redirected once followed and raises the above error.
This can as well occur with proper sitemaps, when you for example edit a topic title, thus change it's url in advanced mode, and google visits the corresponding sitemap before the cache gets refreshed, the zero dupe will in such case redirect the url, and google complain, only temporarily, about it.
So just make sure you clear GYM's cache after you change things dealing with url rewriting, to make sure that the proper urls are taken into account.
As far as I can see, your sitemap currently looks very good
