BMF is international forum its open source mad bye chines peoble also you can finde many langauge chines , arabic , english , i think if you use it you will never use vb forumes or phpbb . smf , ....... i wish dcz convert his forum to bmf Twisted Evil

and make another seo mod.

BMF looks quite similar to phpBB2 actually http://www.bmforum.com/bmb/

Off course, all forum are a bit alike.

Then, looking at the php and html output code as well as the feature list, I really can't see anything that could take me out the phpBB3 path.

First, prosilver, beside being valid XHTML, does not use table, unlike BMF. This make the code a little lighter and a little better SEO wise IMHO.

Then, the php structure is a lot less advanced than the phpBB3 one, not as much support for DB, the styling (templating) is a lot less sophisticated, it's still php mixed with html.
And, but I did not test BMF, it really looks like phpBB3 has the most useful features. I know a tag mod for phpBB3 would be great, but I'm not found of WYSIWYG, especially since adding bbcode has become so simple, and I'm not a great fan either of AJAX feature.
AJAX can be a great thing, but SE do not interact with it, so it can imply to have part of your content unreachable by bots.
Besides, I don't like to see this much JS code in all pages, especially when it's to build up menus with links bots won't see.

The url rewriting integrated is a nice feature though, but the rewriting is not really centralised, it's hard coded on each link. And I'm not personally found of the url standard.

I of course do not say BMF is not good, it really looks good, and most likely is a lot more interesting than phpBB2, its just that phpBB3 really make phpBB the best forum ever again IMHO.

So I guess phpBB SEO will not convert to BMF anytime soon Wink

i agree with you phpbb 3 is very good for expert people in php langauge , the onley thing make me using phpbb your SEO MODS Laughing

I would not say that phpBB3 is only meant for expert people. Actually, with the automatic update et all, it's a lot easier to use without any php skill since you can administrate it fully without editing a line of code.
