GoogleBot Spiders but doesn't Index

My domain was registered 3/05, site went live in 3/06, and Google still hasn't indexed anything but my home page. GoogleBot is there every day, multiple times a day, but still nothing!

As you can see by the following statistics GoogleBot has more hits than the MSN Bot. However, MSN has several pages indexed, but Google has virtually nothing.

When you say went on line, do you mean it was not reachable before ?
If so, then, it's one month old for Google.

Anyway, if you see Google crawling your site, then it should cache soon.

As well make sure the Google sitemaps is listing the correct urls, but if you installed it properly there should not be any trouble.

It's just a matter of time and backlinks, but again, it's normal for brand new site to have to wait a bit and all the sudden page will get cached.

Sitemaps URLs are good and Rewritten, and Google checks it as OK.

Google has been spidering my site since March of this year (4 months), when the site started. My domain was registered in March '05, about 16 Months ago, so I sould be avoiding the sandbox.

I don't have many backlinks. A quick search on MSN shows 18, another 13 on Yahoo, and 0 through Google. This might be my problem!

For the sandbox, well for sure it's not because you have too many backlinks so ...

Then, the only running time for sandbox and Google is the one publicly online,

If for 16 month, the domain was not linked to any public page, then, this does not count.

A link would help to give better advices, but I don't think it's this odd, for sure two month is long time, but with no SEO wrong settings, you should then don't worry and just work on backlinks.

I mean, it's a bit long, but that's how bad it can be for a new site with few backlincks.

Actually, I have seen a site being indexed (the home put in google's cache) after 5 month, just because there was very few backlinks of bad quality and the home contained barely no text.

But, as you said google was comming often to visit your site, then, it looks like it is actually caching your page now and that they'll show up quick.

It happened for Elglobo's web site, has he had no page indexed before, he saw Google visiting his board like a crazy one for a month, wondering when would it cache, and all the sudden bam 38 000 cached page, and they almost all have shown up the same few days.

Have you checked how msn was dealing with you site ?

Then, adding a link in you profile here will help out for you backlinks, I think this site is already interesting for such purpose as it's very well spidered and starts to get ranked.

As well,I'll soon open our directory, the french one was just opened, I just need to end the category selection, but those already have PageRank and will have more with time

Well domain parking are not that good, it actually depend on how bad is the parking page. Some are really bad (too many commercials, no content).

But, since your home page is cached, and Google is spidering your page, it should cache them pretty soon I think.

As well, looking at the msn listing, we can learn several things.

And actually this is linked to the domain parking, as it was certainly spidered after 16 month. I think Your forum was visited by bots the first day you put it online or so.
That's certainly why we see URL cached but disallowed in the now online robots.txt, like the member profiles or URLs with SIDs.

So here I think some time was lost, as Google usually visit a page more than one time before it caches it, I guess it did not like the changes so much, but it's as well a good thing since it should now cache the correct ones directly.

Not that my server demand is very high yet, but I had Hotlink protection enabled. I adjusted it correctly, so it should be showing up now!
