Flora was the first to post about it this time, a new Google dance is currently going on.
So after the last one in february, here is the new one 
I saw some moves on phpBB SEO backlinks, going from 5500 to 5540 (what a jump  ) few days ago, and yesterday I saw moves in PageRank among data centers.
It looks like phpBB SEO is getting it's PageRank 5 again

It as well looks like the sub domains are following the same path.
This could mean that the new Google filters now have had their effect and that things are going back to "normal".
We'll see if many site do have a better PR this time, instead of a small drop.

phpBB SEO was PR5 few month ago (was 5 for a year or so) before it dropped to 4 during the october GD. We where not the only ones to be penalized like this, but it looked odd still, since the main motivation for Google seemed to fight against paid links, and we do not sell links here so.
What is for sure is the last three GD where introducing new backlink moderation in the PageRank calculus. It now looks like the effect of these have stabilized and that our backlinking effort will start again to matter for PR.
This being said, the last few updates as well made clear that PR is not as reliable as before to evaluate a web site's overall impact in SERPs, because in the phpBB SEO case, we have beaten the monthly visits and page load record ever every month since October and our SERPs never where better as well so ... if there is a conclusion to make out of this it's that PageRank really became one parameter out of plenty, not an overall rate as it first was (at least sort of). |

In the end, we finally get 4390 Google backlinks, we again give work to Google filters
But, our PR5 stays so ... |
