For me, all those links are showing up with 16,400 indexed patges.
It's good to turn/redirect all your domain.com to www.domain.com using RewriteRule in your .htaccess |

So it really looks like Google is messing up a bit.
For some time lately I noticed as well some things like this, when adding both forums/ and boards/ (phpBB SEO forums) listings on Google, I had more than when listing the whole www domain, now it the contrary, I get 3670 pages for both forums and 3890 for the www domain which looks normal since there are some additional pages in the root folder.
I had as well noticed some differences when comparing the sub domains total amount of listed pages and the difference between the listing with and without the www ( site:www.phpbb-seo.com/ vs site:phpbb-seo.com/ ), the sub domain listings sum was smaller that it should compared to the number of pages the site:phpbb-seo.com command was adding to the site:www.phpbb-seo.com one.
So I think this is just the regular Google uncertainty, most likely due to that fact Google uses several Data centers, not necessarily all used for the same thing and not necessarily synchronized all the time.

FWIW, after installing the zero dup mod, it took about three months until the Google index page counts and my sitemap page counts aligned. |
