Hi i have one little question.
About a month ago i notice a suddenly drop in my daily visits from 1900 to 1300 on average. So i decide to check out a little further. About the 90% of my content is from my forum, so i suspect there is something wrong in the forum. I check the dynamic meta tags and notice a lot of useless words in it. Besides i rebuild my search tables and clean stopwords when i install dynamic meta tags.
So i decided to add many words to my stop_words list and rebuild search tables again, in order to optimize the meta tags even more.
acording to google analytics 55% of my traffic is delivered by google.
My big question here is: does google use the meta keywords for ranking my forum pages in the search results? or google analize by itself the content in my page and takes the keywords that consider relevant?
The old search engines uses the meta keywords, but i dont know if google does to, or in the other hand google select their own keywords. |

| A 30% drop in traffic from Google? Yikes. I have no insider knowledge of Google's ranking algorithm, but I doubt meta tags weigh that heavily into it. |

Yeap, i was hitting the 2000 visitors per day, and now 1300 y the maximum, and some days 1000.
I use dynamic meta tags, advanced mod rewrite, google sitemaps, google analytics, google adsense, and Zerodupe.
i have rebuilt the search tables now and the keywords are better, but there are some useless words in there yet. I have to do a new filtering process.
i experiment a drop in my visits and i think it was due to the "copa america"of soccer this past month in my country. Because 30% of my visitors are from venezuela. So i think it can be due to their interest in the soccer and bla bla.
But now the cup is finished and my visits are down.
Lets wait the recomendations of DCZ. |

Well i have two questions:
1.- finally does google use meta tags for page ranking in the search results?
because if the answer is not, the dynamic meta tags mod have no sense at all. According to what i was reasearching all the major search engines look for content not meta keywords.

Pages that are optimized for Google will score best when there are at least a few links to outside sites that are related to your topic because this establishes your page's reputation as an authority. Google also measures how many websites outside your domain have links pointing to your site and factor in an "importance rating" for each of those referring sites. The more popular a site appears to a search engine, the higher up in the search listings they will place it.
According to Craig Silverstein with Google,
"External links that you grant from a particular page on your website can become diluted. In other words, if you place 10,000 links to other Web pages from a particular page of your website, each link is less powerful than if you were to link to only five other Web pages. Or, the contribution value to another website of each individual link is weakened the more you grant."
