experiences with updating from phpbb 2 to 3 with seo

I thinking about updating my forum from 2.21 with advanced seo mod to 3.01.
I' am getting a lot of visiters because of very good serp's.
I was wondering who also updated and checked out the change in serp's on specific keywords.

Well, there should not be any negative impact IMO, I'd bet on the opposite actually, since phpBB3 html code is a lot lighter and more focused on real content.

Of course the step is sensible, it's really important to do it well, especially if some redirecting will be involved (in almost all cases).

But besides, going for phpBB3 should be better, faster page load, lighter pages, and even better seo tricks so ...
