Indexed pages dropped

Every time I press site:... I get a different result (live) like between 800 and 1700.

Anyone experienced this phenomena ?

EDIT: It has stabilized now. So it was only temporarily.

Yah, This is 'normal' I had 13,600 indexed page result last week and tonight down to 12,800.

It is always adjusting that Google. Shrugs Smile

Yes, Google result list is moving a bit, usually around the time some changes are to be expected, but sometime without any reason.

I know of some examples where Google did dig out some 8 or 9 month old cached pages in the site command result list.

But most of the time, the result should not vary too much, besides from time to time, and when performing the search on different Google domain : google.com vs google.fr for example, but not only, as the results now depends more and more on where the query was sent (geolocation).

This means that at the same time you can see different results on such queries if you perform them from different countries, even if doing so on the same Google domain.
