Just to let you know in case you had not noticed that the Google sitemap system is now performing some statistics about page loading time and crawling.
You can easily find out how many page are being explored by the Google-Bot, what was the average page loading time and how many Ko where downloaded.
A nice synthesis, could just be more accurate.
If only Google analytic could output these kind of stats with more accuracy in the future ... would be perfect

There have been major updates to Googles sitemap pages. Along with what you mentioned, There is now an option to slow or speed up Google crawls. In the sitemap area, it is keeping track, or at least made public now, the number of URL's that have been submitted by our google sitemap. Very helpful tools they have now.
