For those who want to know more about their sites is here Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics/
You will get reports from your site- about your visitors (browsers, flash, java, where they are from etc...), where do they come from (google and others), info about keywords and more... just try
Sorry if this doesnt belong in this section |

You're right
Google Analytics is an accurate way to track visitors.
Two things to say about it though :
If Google gives you such precise stats, then, Google knows all of them.
This as well means that AdSense is most likely to provide the same amount of data to Google about your web-site's traffic.
And it will only track visitors with JS on.
Thus, I think that anyone using AdSense, should as well use Google analytics, since it will be a nice way to only consider visits that could have lead to clicks on adds (since it's all JS visitors).
The stat really are detailed and useful.
But, if you do not, and if your site has like 10 visits a day, I am not sure it's this Good to tell it to Google.
My though is I think traffic ranking and the way it's evolving is and will become more and more an SEO parameter for Search Engine to rank web-sites.
I am sure that things like new visitors vs returning visitors ratio and things like this are or will be used to evaluate the web-site interest according to user's one.
Like AdSense in a way, I suggest you do not implement this unless you have a reasonable amount of visitors, not really a must, as theses are only thoughts, but, this is what I'd do
Nobody really needs accurate stats to count 10 visits anyway
