Question...Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 9:37 pm    Post subject: Question...

I've installed the Gym mod in my forum,

And I have in the "Main configuration" ---> "URL rewriting"

The following options:

"Activate URL rewriting:" ---> "Yes"

"URL rewriting type:" --->"Advance"

Then when I go and check the sitemaps and rss feeds...

I notice that the urls (<loc>)

I get the word "forum" injected in the urls...

My forum is installed in the root of the domain.

How ever this is all in a virtual hosting plan...
So I have one domain in the "./"
and the forum domain, pointing to "./forum/"

So my question is how can I take the forum out of the url's since:

-www.mysite.com/forum/page.html

should be:

-www.mysite.com/page.html

I also get an error:

"Error loading stylesheet: An XSLT stylesheet does not have an XML mimetype:"

If in the options I activate the "XSLT Styling:" to "Yes"

Is someone can help me I would apreciate it Very Happy

All right, so there is a path issue. I need to investigate more about this case, could you tell me which versions are you using (phpBB, gym & mod rewrite) ?

Well it really looked like you where using one of our url rewriting mode isn't it ?

You should update phpBB in all cases now. I'll investigate further on GYM for the virtual root case soon Wink

Well, if you do not see viewtopic / viewforum / index in your forum urls, then it's url rewritten.

As said, I need to take a look into it Wink

I took a look at the virtual root mode in B3, and it's working as expected. One possibility is you see wrong links is if your phpBB config is not properly set for the script path.
Make sure you have the proper settings for the server name and the script path in your phpBB config.

It was the script path Very Happy

Thanks Very Happy

But now when I access the sitemapindex.xml
and then one of the subforums sitemaps

I get the same result as sitemapindex.xml but without forum-announces.xml entry....

and the entries are *.html

The sitemapindex is listing sitemaps (one per public forum plus few extra more by default), sitemaps are listing links to the forum.
