advantages of styling rss and sitemaps?

I was wondering what the advantages of styling rss feeds and sitemaps are? Does it improve SEO or is it just for the users that happen to look at the feeds?

SEO wise, it's not much, but, since the number of visitors on a given page does count more and more SEO wise, the more a page is viewed, the best PR it will end up with, running user friendly sitemaps and RSS feeds can help out, since chances are greater your user will appreciate it.

Beside, this is as well allowing you to massively link them from your site pages, because, you don't risk you user to wonder what is this XML page without style when they follow the links. If they accidentally fell on a sitemap or a rss feed, they won't be lost, and will have all the required active links to go back to your site, and to find new content Wink

That's probably one of the main reason so many people are using services such as feedburner.com, here, we just do a bit better, since we actually host these nice rss feeds, and they are pretty much costless in server resources.

And I forgot to mention, the most your user will use and appreciate your feeds, and styling can matter here, the more they will aggregate them, and the more backlinks you'll get Very Happy

RSS in itself isn't really SEO, but many side effects are Wink
