mmm which is best for SEO? i think i cannot install the two of them at the same time.
Also i have another RSS mod, how can i change the rss.php of gym or mx to another file like rss2 or something like that? |

You can install both, actually, they are both useful.
Gym sitemaps will build xml Google sitemaps, rss feeds and yahoo urllist.txt (useful (very) for indexing), and mx sitemaps a regular html sitemap (useful for pagerank transmission and indexing).
About you other rss mod, chances are very little you'll need any other rss mod after you'll see all the possibilities of the gym rss module
Especially SEO wise.
And yes, we plan to add RSS access to private forums , but these are usually not the most used as far as rss, unless your forum is mostly private.
And, if you use mod rewrite, changing the rss.php file-name will be very easy.
I suggest you try it on a test installation, it's really easy to install
