Hello Everyone,
I would like to mention here about wizwebhost.com, I am VERY impressed with the support I get from http://wizwebhost.com , both from the Sales end and from Technical Support. It is nice to be able to call for Tech support and speak to a real live human without a bunch of hassle. Tech Support guys are outstanding by the way. Very knowledgeable. All of the people I have had contact with were personable, polite and very professional.
Their technical skills are awesome. I really recommend wizwebhost
You ALL are doing a GREAT job, keep up the good work!

Normally the hosting compaines that have excellent 24/7 support are the ones where support is needed all the time because they over sell!
I used to be on shared hosting and my site used to crahe every few weeks, since moving to dedicated 6 months ago it has never crashed since  |

gaiaonline.com runs a modified phpBB on more than 150 dedicated server, that what it cost to have about 30 000 visitors online average

I started on godaddy and we have a love/hate relationship (i.e., I love to hate them ).
Every few months there's a snafu and I spend hours sorting through the problem, with them insisting all along it's my fault. Fortunately I have more experience with customer support than them, so they invariably lose that battle. To their credit, they've never failed to resolve a problem, even when it required moving my site to a new server (simply because nothing else they tried worked... and yes, that fixed it). I was thinking dedicated server, but lately the shared server performance has improved markedly.
Anyway, I don't know if it's luck or coincidence; for now I'm staying put out of laziness. The migration to phpBB V3 will be a good time for me to revisit the hosting issue. |
