http://www.hyundaituners.com
It is a forum for Hyundai Aftermarket discussion and tuning. What do you guys think?
I want to get rid of the phpbb2plus crap at some point, but i also dont want to change to much for the users. . Still trying to figure that out. The issue is some of the mods are outdated... bad. the categories hierarchy mod is pre 2.14..... which means i cant use the rewrite mods here on the forums. If any of u guys know how to go about solving this issue, please give me some ideas on how to get my forum a little more back to a "normal" state, with only a few GOOD mods. |

And Welcome
Clean layout, nice forum
This is the problem with premods, too many mods most of the time.
I never tried CH 2.0.4, but it seems closer to phpBB than the current one.
Anyway, moving back to phpBB will be some work. You could either start from a vanilla phpBB and only install the mods you really want, or work on your actual installation to get rid or change some.
The problem in the second case is to find the outdated mod versions to uninstall. You could first try and find out how difficult it would be to just uninstall CH and use the simple sub forum mod instead, since you're not using more than one sub forum level. It won't change anything for you users.
Whatever you decide, I suggest you do local testing before you do anything on your live web site.

thanks for the compliments . I guess we dont really need Announcements, so i dont need CH at all i suppose. Can you have a forum that is just a link when using Simple Subforum? Our DIY section links to a wiki.....
Thanks again for your thoughts |
