dcz, i want to thank you for not giving up to my laziness and for pushing me to try to install it one more time , it is working now with the mixed mod.
eeeeeeeeeeeee
now, after all this hard work...should i keep it on the mixed mod or switch to the advance? can the advance cause problems with Google and maybe it safer to go with the mixed?
Are there members that can share their view on this issue from their experience with one of the mods?
Thank you all...you made me a better person with this mod |

Now you need the zero duplicate up and running to take car about the previously indexed urls and to prevent any duplicate content.
About the mixed VS advanced, it really depends on your average topic title quality and the efforts you'll be ready to put into moderating topic titles.
If your user are generally posting descriptive titles, then go for the advanced, but do it as if it was a migration, since you installed the mixed one, you'll need to properly redirect topic url in this case.
The mixed one is still really good and easy to deal with.
Have you read this post ?

Thanks, i have installed the zero duplicate mod.
the reason i decided to go with the mix mod is after i saw that you using it here on this forum, i guess you know what you are doing
But how did you make your forum to make the url with discussions-vtxxx.html instead topicxxx.html?
i also noticed that you have the forum name injected to the URL in every page before the topic name, for example:
http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/mixed-mod-rewrite/discussions-vt988.html
you have /mixed-mod-rewrite/ inside the url |
