Only Category url converted , not threads

hi ,

i installed mod rewrite mixed mod to onvert to keyword based url. bfre tht i had installed mod re write to change to static.

ibsrocks.com

the category urls have changed to keyword based , bt thrd url are still static bt no keyword based.

is tht wht this mod does? i need thrds to have keyword too

Look for the advanced version to have all titles injected.

oh ! the mod description gave impression tht thrds url are injected with keyword...would only category keyword help in seo?

okie i did the advanced version mod , now evn thrd are having keyword in url

ill endorse this mod a lot lot , im very happy.

bt one more major issue cropped up - the latest topics colum at bottom of the main page is stil displayng older url - static bt without keyord...and whn any1 clicks on tht it shows error.....

All right, so it looks like we should go in the advanced mod rewrite forum now.

I think you'll be interested into reading this thread about how to safely migrate from the able2know mod rewrite to the phpBB SEO advanced one.

as well, you should install the guest sessions mod, as advised in the install and the release threads.

Then, there are several mods that can output the last active topics on index, try searching a bit on phpBB SEO, it's very possible that it was already patched. You just need to perform few additional changes for it.

In case you do not find it, you can start a new thread in the mods and code forum, with a link to the mod so that we can provide with a patch Wink

We're only talking about implementing few and quite easy to install mods, I know it gets more complex when migrating, but we've really made it easy thanks to the zero dupe, at least if you compare with trying to migrate efficiently without it.

SEO is all a matter of time, do not consider you're in a rush to migrate, take you time to read a bit about it, and to think about how you'll be doing it.

Setting up a test server is not waisting time either, really.

And when you'll have done it, you'll see it was not really as hard as it first seemed.
The only tricky thing is that you have to deal with many different concepts while Search Engine Optimizing, especially when URL rewriting, but in the end you'll see everything was made to SEO the best here. And installing the mods, even if you do not fully get how they work, isn't hard at all.
You just need to follow the steps, taking your time and asking every time you do not get something.

The thing is they really are efficient SEO wise, and this as well you'll see if you're patient enough Wink
