Maybe silly, but this had me going for a while.
.htaccess wouldn't work right for me. Redirects to .php pages were going to nonexistent files in the /usr/cgi-bin directory, www redirects were inconsistent, and forums were generating 404 errors.
I was this close to contacting my hosting company (Hostway) to see if they had done something bizzare with mod-rewrite when I took one more look and found the culprit - there was an .htaccess file in my /forum directory.
Deleted that file, and everything is golden now. Hope this helps someone. |

Thanks. And thanks for all these mods, I'm using several of them now
No, the problem is likely that I mistakenly uploaded the file to the wrong folder at some point. My FTP client doesn't allow me to view hidden files (need to get a new FTP client) so I didn't find it until I logged in with a shell account and did an ls -la.
I'm using the mixed-rewrite, the title optimizer, the meta-keyword generator, and the zero dupes, all working perfectly. |
