subject in url

Hello,

I installed the URL Mixed mod Rewrite 0.2.4 from this site.
I thought my url worl look something like this
-http://www.mysite.com/this-is-a-topic.php

in stead my url looks like
-http://www.mysite.com/topic5.html

Ok so this has probably been discusses several times here , but i couldn't find the search button and i didn't know what to look for really.

Can any of you experts pls help me ?

to get the topic title in the url you need to use advanced mod-rewrite http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/phpbb-mod-rewrite-vf33/

Read carefully the releases threads as well as the install, it's clearly stated how the url will be transformed in there.
