Java problem with mxbb

Hi,

I wanted to put some java code on the frontpage of the portal, so i addad a new html block, but when i paste the code in the text area and update it, it doesn't show anything, where it should show a picture.

I'm not 100% sure about it, but it seems to me that html (no <html> or <body> tags here obviously) including JS should work right away in all cases with the HTML/WYSIWYG TextBlock.

Was it the one you where using ?

Unless it is mxBB2.7, could be different.

I use mxbb 2.8 and when i just paste the code in there it does not work. Do you have anyother sugestions?

Well, I guess then, the blocks are using some filters for html, you could install and use the html bbcode instead of disabling the html filtering in phpBB's configuration (or extending it enough for JS to show up).

The html bbcode mod is safe and handy, and should work with the mxBB blocks, if installed on phpBB.

There is a mx_pageblock module to allow you to include such scripts on pages.
Simply add your code to a standard html page and include it with that module.
