Problem installing Module - Mxbb Google sitemap

Actually, you know.. I just tried installing other modules and they are not installing either. Normally I suppose I would ask this over at mx-system.com, but all I need is for the mx google module to work. I don't need assistance with any other module.

I select mx_ggsitemaps and click on submit, but it just takes me back to the Module Administration panel and there are no signs of anything Google sitemap ... not even in the Function Administration menu. the db_install.php is CHMOD to 644. all folders are set to 755 and all files within are 644.

I overwote all files in mxbb Admin and Includes. still nothing. if all else fails, could it be possible to install mx google sitemaps the phpbb way... manually?

Very strange.

Have you refreshed the whole ACP when you installed ?

Do you see the regular install messages in ACP ?

Of course you can install the module with phpBB only, but, it should work with mxBB.

If the SQL is not performed from ACP, which would be very strange, you can try loading the sql install file directly while logged admin.

Before you do so, pleas try to load the sql script manually while logged admin (eg in www.example.com/modules/ .../ ...php).

I just installed it again in mxBB few days ago with no worries.

Do you have a phpmyadmin acces to check if the sitemap_config table was created ?

How quickly I change minds don't I? lol.. anyway, I get this when loading the db_install script:

Hum, are you sure you uploaded all the mx Google sitemaps 0.0.2 files ?

Make sure there is a modules/mx_ggsitemaps/includes/common_GGsitemaps.php file Wink

Oh, actually this is what is supposed to happen if you load the script from there.

The problem with mxBB here, is that you cannot install the module with the ACP install feature.

Since other module do not install either, I think you have a mxBB problem.

You can try to install it manually though, Using the phpBB manual SQL, just making shure you use the mxBB prefix (usually mxbb_) instead of phpbb_ in them.

Once done, you'll have to go to acp, module admin, add a new module and then just fill manually the datas :

Module name : mx Google Sitmaps
Description : Google sitemaps generator
Path : modules/mx_ggsitemaps/

And select the admin option.

Once done, if all file are uploaded, it should show up in ACP (after a full refresh) and work as before.
