About those social bookmarks, after added the mod, do I have too create accounts at those bookmark sites to have the mod works? or just let people who already have account with them and let them do the job?

I don't know if they will bring traffic to mysite, want to try :p

It's up to users to register and use the social bookmark service they want or not.

You make me think that I should have released the mod used here already

This is the kind of thing that increases the probability for such services to be used and thus to get backlinks (potentially deep as well).
So it's worth it IMHO, and our method is not seen by bots
