New Categories for Posts

Hi there.
Is it possible to create two new categories for Posts in addition to Sticky and Announcement. Ideally I would like 'News' (not sticky) and 'Guide' (sticky) as well.
Is this a MAJOR piece of work?

The answer is yes, but not this much.

It's just that it's a real mod requiring changes in DB and posting process as well as in the output processes.

But very doable, have you tried to search a bit to see if such mod do not already exist over at phpBB.com or phpBBhacks.com ?
