Very simple indeed, just use them as often as you can in your content.
I am not saying to spam index, but if Mercedes forum is your target, you need to use these two as much as possible since they are supposed to be two major keywords for your web site.
Possible solution to do so, write down good articles with them in title and repeated in the content, a good occasion to talk about your forum's project and such as well.
But you probably won't be able to find this many different topic fitting with forum and Mercedes in the title. So you'll have to play around this, like using Mercedes quite often in your titles, and forum and Mercedes in the content.
As well, linking is very important and here you can post many as Mercedes forum is quite a good text link to use.
Especially if your boards title is Mercedes forum.
Be careful though, you don't want two pages with the same exact title, especially if the titles are only containing your keywords.
So if you go for Mercedes forum as you board title, you'll need extra words in the articles titles you'll write down about those.
Actually, it's quite logic, a site with a title, being a good description of what's inside, as many pages are talking about the topic already suggested in the main title.
Then those two used as text linking every one of your pages (as it would be your forum title) is a very good thing. Obtaining Backlinks from other web-sites with those too in the text link even better.
Actually, that's the main point with directories, to associate keywords with your web site as you'll most of the time will be able to post the same keywords as a text link (your site's title) you want to optimize on.
And better if you wrote down a nice description with those keywords in it for the directory submission.
You can experiment in the phpBB SEO Directory
But never forget that the final target is users, not bots, so you want to do this honestly, writing good articles.
All this are just general principle to keep in mind while writing articles, I mean , keywords should show up naturally in a structured topic, all you need to do is try not to do mistakes such as missing keywords already providing good amount of visits because you want to work on others, or not taking great care when building your titles as they will be very important for the keyword association process bot performs (used in title tag, and text links in the forum).
Interesting keywords are not the one we show up first with but the one providing to most visitors. So we always need to analyse which keywords are leading to visits, and not to forget those if they are worth it.
