stop new members from adding their website url

My forum is being plagued by spammers just signing up to add their sales websites so they appear in the members list.

There must be a way that I can dis-allow webiste addresses being added during registration.

You might want to check this mod out.
Also, use the email activation option.
Got 70 crap spammers who didn't check their mail
Probably false email accounts.

*note to self* Should install the mod that checks if the email is real.

I install the Signature control mod on this site lately, to make this site less attractive to spammers and to provide higher quality backlinks to real users.

I already have one mod that enables me to switch on or off the users signature, but by default it allows new members to add a signature. I'm looking at installing this mod now as it seems much better

And it seems it's their main objective since I don't think many spam post do ever stay over a day or two online in most cases.
