How can I zip and download entire forum folder ?

Hi. My hard disk crashed recently and with that my recent Data / files of my forum are gone.

I need to take backup ( download ) of my forum ( all files ) from the server. Is there a way I can use some php script to zip my forum folder and download the entire forum as a single file ?

Pls help.

There must be but I do not know of any script like this so far.

You still can download everything unzipped first from your ftp. Will be a little more bandwidth to download, but less server load.

I think there is some script that uses shell_exec function of php. But anyway its ok I will try to search it in some PHP coding forums
