Messages per page per forum

Is it possible to change number of messages per page per forum. Like I have forum A and Forum B can I have number of messages per page in forum A as 10 and in forum B as 3 ?

This is one of the feature offered by Categories Hierarchy.

But this mod is almost a fork now, so it can cause problem with other mods.

The good thing is there is plenty of features in it.

But thanks for the help. I guess I need to ask for further help and whether to use this or not and with which MODs it conflicts in Categories Hierarchy MOD developers forum

If the question is do you need CH, my answer is no, but, we are in a free world you know.
CH will not work with most of the mods you can think of, especially the phpBB SEO mod rewrite, as said, its almost not phpBB anymore.
It's a great mod, but you'd better be ok with it fully, because you might not be able to change much in php code.

You could of course just add the feature you're talking about differently, in a more simple way, playing with the veiwforum.php file.

But actually, I don't think it could be this useful.

Changing pagination settings can be useful to show more links per pages, but you don't want too heavy processes, showing less I don't know, because this means more pages to spider to find content.

That's why I made it possible to use another pagination limit in the mx sitemaps module. Because the script being lighter than phpBB's, you can show more topic per pages and help out bots to find more topic's URL per pages.

So this all depends on why would you want such feature ?

Ok my mistake, I didnt make it clear.
Actually in some forums where I want models to display their portfolios, tha page becomes too heavy if there are many images on one page, so I thought may be for that forum I wud change the limit to2 or 3 messages per page.

I see. I think there are some mods (a lot simpler than CH) doing similar things, like limiting the number of post on a specific forums.

Maybe Google could save you on that one, since I cannot find any link
