How can i make other addons a SEO friendly url

I have two major addons, Garage and Arcade on my site, http://www.hyundaituners.com . I want to make these two mods have friendly URLS.

Example:
Current URL:
http://www.hyundaituners.com/garage.php?mode=view_vehicle&CID=6

Example of what i want to change it to:
-http://www.hyundaituners.com/garage/view_vehicle/6


Or maybe even change the /6 to the car's owner username. (just an idea)

I would like to do something similar for the arcade mod. Can someone explain to me on how to go about doing this? I understand rewrite rules, but i dont quite understand how to make it more dynamic variables for certain parts of it.

Well, it's not only a matter of rewriterules (far from that actually).

My plan here is to support URL rewriting for such modules, but this require an update of the phpBB SEO mod rewrites, because for now, this would make the regular phpBB rewriting process a bit heavy.
The update is a complete rewriting of the phpBB SEO mod rewrites, and is intended to be usable for many mods and modules without the same performance issue.

Actually, I worked on it yesterday, and I am pretty close to release

Anyway, this mean, I am willing to support the URL rewriting of many mods and modules, but this will be after the update.

Be patient, things will start moving a lot faster soon as far as mod release here.

I see. I actually figured it out, a little..... i got the car view mode to work right, but could manage the rest. i got the url rewrite by phpbb correct, but couldnt make the mod rewrite work correctly for some reason. Anyways im happy with at least what i did manage to figure out.

The things is I am currently working on the mod rewrite update, and since it's a central matter, and I want all the mods and modules to work nicely together, this need to be done almost all at once, at least for mx Google sitemaps and the mod rewrites.

so far, it only the mod rewrite core, no zero dupe. But the new method is not slower if we ask for more than phpBB rewriting.

Check the stats, it's more or less 0.01 to 0.0.2 sec to do all the rewriting with title injection. I tested it on several server (dedicated and shared) already, and it's always the same, even if the page loading time is bigger.

Santa Klaus will bring some good news this year

By then, you can check how it goes, I just added meta and titles on it, will continue with putting the full SEO suite together on it to make sure everything is working together nicely before I start releasing.
Only details are left to do, but you know these are to take care about with great care, details ...

The new meta tags methods will not add as much sql queries as now (one or two per page), it will only add one for topics (instead of two) none for the rest
