best portal for phpbb

i need to decide quickly which cms / portal to use

phpbb will be main content and search area for information

i will write articles to link to all sections, i could do this with html, but i would like the things like last posts and pictures on front.

i want it to be quick and use the avdvanced rewrites

ones i have seen

All of those are Hideus, lots of bugs and hard work to adapt i use this one http://phpbb-portal.com with apropiate Style and Blocks it could be great.

Also the MX portal is a very good idea but it has a flaw if your server has the Golbals ON.

mxbb Is one of the best. Been using it for a couple of years now. Intergrates perfectly with phpbb. phpbb-seo's Portal is mxbb =) pagination, modules, and so many other goodies and features.

Installed a while ago, and it's not bad at all. not bad for a CMS if wordpress is what you prefer for a CMS, Then it's perfect for that.

I think mx-system is the best and there is many modules for it
