Mixed mod rewrite...Posted: Tue Dec 19, 2006 9:16 pm    Post subject: Mixed mod rewrite...

Well i am using the mixed mod rewrite and i can't seem to work out how to change the file name...

ie. i want html-XX.html

not topicXX.html

How would i do this?

I changed: - At the bottom of includes/sessions.php

$urlout = array( "topic\\1-\\2.html".if_query('\\3')."",
"topic\\1.html".if_query('\\2')."",
"topic\\1.html".if_query('\\2')."",
"member\\1.html".if_query('\\2')."",

and that worked for some things but it couldn't find the post when i editted or added a post. I obviously changed the .htaccess too.

Thankyou
-flozo

PS: I have a link to phpBB-seo.com, but my site is not live yet so i cannot show my site.

And welcome Very Happy

You did get the principle very well, but I am not really sure about the issue here.

The only changes required to do so is to replace all occurrences of "topic" with "html-" in includes/sessions.php (append_sid code obviously) and .htacess.

Maybe you're confusing between post and topic urls a bit.

Thanks Very Happy

And you're welcome Wink

Make sure though to disallow the post URLs, whatever they ended up to be.
They are all duplicates of topics URLs.
