I at first had the phpbb_seo folder not uploaded, and got a bunch of errors. So I reuploaded it, but now I have this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: meta_filter_txt() in /home/pounddog/public_html/forums/index.php on line 272
Here is the code from index.php:
| Code: | // www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT BEGIN - META
$phpbb_seo->seo_meta['meta_desc'] = $phpbb_seo->meta_filter_txt("$page_title : " . $phpbb_seo->seo_meta['meta_desc_def']);
$phpbb_seo->seo_meta['keywords'] = $phpbb_seo->make_keywords($phpbb_seo->seo_meta['meta_desc']);
// www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT END - META |
Thanks for this mod, I am very new to PHP and this is my first day at using phpBB2. I just hope I can fix this, because it was working fine until I decided to try and figure out how to insert dynamic keywords... I KNOW I copy/pasted all the code from the install text file correctly, but now I am wondering if I neglected to change something or upload something....
I appreciate your assistance...

| Well, I got impatient and tried to fix things, and goofed things up so bad, I ended up having to wipe the database clean and re-install everything. I will let you know if it works when I try it again in a few minutes. Thanks again! |

| Always, always make backups of your site when you install MODs. From your files to the database. Say one day you'll have a huge forum... |

It wasn't SOOO bad since I only had two users so far, but it was still a big pain, and not worth repeating. Backing up data is a practice that I keep seeing the importance of, so you'd think it would eventually sink in that no matter how careful you are, eventually you'll get hung out to dry. I saw an option on my host's control panel to back up the database, but I am just not sure about how to revert to previous versions... I guess you learn by doing, right? I guess I am learning relatively quickly, as by the end of the night I will have set up three phpbb forums in a 24-hour period, never having messed around with anything similar before (4 if you count the re-install of the current headache!!)...
