html and php urls - Double Listings in google

im having double listing of same thread - one having html url and another having php url.

see this http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=site%3Awww.ibsrocks.com&meta=

results number 7 and 10 are same threads but one has the seo mod enabled url and another has php url

i think this is coz of the recent topics on bottom of my forum www.ibsrocks.com/forum as when one clicks on them - it doesnt re-direct to seo urls

plz advise. could it hamper my SEO

Actually yes, duplicate are quite an important matter.

In your case all you need to do is to install the zero duplicate. It will HTTP 301 redirect all the unrewritten URLs to the rewritten ones, cleaning the SERPs from these.

Note that since you where wondering about converting to phpBB3, the phpBB SEO premod includes the zero duplicate.
At one point, it will be time waisted to work to much on phpBB2, but as said, you still have time, it's just something to start thinking about.

hi i guess i have this zero duplicate on current board..... can u check

yeah have phpbb3 in mind. bt wht if i dont shift at all ? i mean have worked so much on this board, changing will be lot of headache. wht abt continuing on phpbb2 - support for phpbb2 will close down after sometime or something?

Well, phpBB2 is already been only updated for security precautions, now new features where added for a while and none will in the future, so yes, pretty much all phpBB2 board will have to, one day or the other, convert to phpBB3.

But, you still have time, it's just something to keep in mind every time you work on phpBB2, just a matter of making sure you do not work on it as much as it would take you to convert IMHO.

It's not a hard mod to add in this case, but you get my point, would be a pity to spend a lot of time on phpBB2 few time before you convert.

actually my seo urls would be difficult to replicate once i shift to phpbb3 - and i worked hard to get them in google rankings Sad
