Hello,
We are pleased to announce the availability of the phpBB SEO Premod 3.0.RC7 package, the "who knows up to where we'll be going" edition.
This release update the premod to phpBB3.0.RC7 and the phpBB SEO mod rewrites to the last version (0.4.0RC4 for Advanced and 0.4.0RC2 for Mixed and Simple versions).
The premod includes the updated version of the phpBB SEO dynamic meta tag mod, soon to be released.
Available packages
If you experience problems with the automatic update (white screens, timeouts, etc.) we recommend using the "changed files only" method for updating.
With this release, there are four packages available.
- Full Package
Contains entire phpBB SEO premod source english and french language files.
- Changed Files Only
Contains only those files changed from previous versions of phpBB3.
- Automatic Update Package
Update package for the automatic updater, containing the changes from previous release to this release.
Select whichever package is most suitable for you.
Translations Update :
Only the English language pack is included by default in the auto update and changed file package.
Both update package comes with a translations/ folder.
In case you are using the french language pack :
- Using the auto updater, you will need to copy all files in the translation/install/ folder to install/ before you upload all files.
This include overwriting the install/update/index.php.
- Using the changed files package, you'll just need to copy all files in the translation/ folder to the RC5a_to_RC7_modified_files/ folder before you upload all files.
The update will not require any additional set up or .htaccess update. Your forum URLs will stay exactly the same.
Make sure you clear phpBB3 cache after you're done with updating (all files within the phpBB3/cache/ folder BUT the .htaccess)
Please ensure you read the INSTALL and README documents in docs/ before proceeding with installation, updates or conversions!.
Be sure to take a look at the official phpBB3 annoucement thread to find out more about the phpBB3.0.RC7 new feature and bug fixes included in the phpBB SEO Premod.
Please note :
The automatic update package does not include the file includes/utf/data/recode_cjk.php. If you use a SJIS encoding or a variant you should replace this file manually with the version included within the full package.

Sorry about this, includes/acp/acp_update.php was bugged in all packages, only causing the update check to fail.
All the package are now up to date without changing the version since it's only one file. If you already updated or installed the premod, you just need to re download it and overwrite your online includes/acp/acp_update.php file. |
