need help on install

I just finished a clean install of this file but when I try to enter my boards I get a 404 error Someone did a .htaccess file for me and I have put that in there but still nothing did I miss something in the insatll?

Is there files other than the root files I need to install?

Try the .htaccess generator in ACP instead, it will generate the .htaccess you need with your settings and will tell you where to put it for you install.
