Whats the best way to go from phpBB3.0.2 to phpBB SEO 3.02?

Hello, long time lurker.. few time poster Smile

I have a highly modified phpBB 3.0.2 board as well as several phpBB SEO premod 3.0.2 boards that I have been running for a while now. What is the best way to take my one regular phpBB 3.0.2 board and make it the same as the premod phpBB SEO 3.0.2?

As long as both phpBB and the premod are the same version, you can follow what's said on this post.

You'll only need to additionally run GYM sitemaps & RSS install script if you wish to use it.

that post says it will work if the board isn't modified.. I have a ton of mods done to this board, if I didn't I would just start over with phpbb SEO premod.

I'm not afriad of doing mods manually, if I had a list of what ones are in the premod that would work or, is it possible with something provided to merge files and end up keeping my mods intact and upgrading to phpBB SEO? Hope I made better sense this time Wink

With for example winmerge, you could compare the two root dirs (all files) pretty fast and merge them easily.
A matter of one hour or so if you are well organized.

Hmm, did the winmerge and all seemed very straight forward. I uploaded the merged files and that went well, board functioned as expected but I got a blank screen when trying to go into the acp...

Are there any database changes that need to be done first before uploading the merged files?

Also, when I tried to run the phpbb_seo_install.php file from within the phpbb_seo folder i get a 404 error...

I'm certain I am {--} <-- that close to getting it all sorted, just need a bit of guidance on the acp and database stuff.

hehe, fixed it... Im my hustle to get it done (one should never hurry) I missed uploading a couple files :-0 so, its all great now.. very easy and I wish I would have done it long ago. Just used Winmerge to make sure the premod files also included my added mods and uploaded, installed using the phpbb_seo_install file within the phpbb_seo folder to set up the ACP, did the one sql query, updated my custom theme and thats it.
