Hi
researching for Update instructions for the premod, I came along
http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/phpbb-seo-premod/seo-url-premod-vt1549.html where at the very end one can find a link to the release announcement thread http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/phpbb-seo-premod/3-0-2-released-vt2901.html
Following this link I was taken twice to a totally different URL then the source code showed. Not to the announcement thread, but to a thread talking about the missing clear cache button.
When I wanted to reproduce the same phenomenon a third time in order to
post it here, it was gone and the right URL / forum showed up ever since.
I'm quite confused, but do not think to be mistaken.
Is there an explanation - or am I totally wrong? |

Are you using FF3 ?
Because this is the type of bug that used to only occur with IE and since I upgraded to FF3, I experienced this kind of unproper page load few times, like a forum with no post before a refresh.
Could as well be a firewall matter, it happened to me already to see FF display random uris on tabs with the good old kerio firewall, which I did not used ever since I found this strange behaviour.

I was using FF2 with some common developper-plugins installed.
I haven't noticed that behavior ever before.
There is no special firewall in place and no cache I would be aware of.
If memory serves me well, I already had the other thread opened in another tab for later reading, when it opened two more times in new tabs instead of the called announcement thread.
To find a "natural" explanation would be very reassuring for me as I'm shortly before migrating a medium-sized non-seo phpBB2 to phpBB3seo_premod and also plan to generate title-based URLs.
As title rewriting, splitting and merging of postings occur frequently on the board in question, my fear would be that a similar behavior could emerge as a possible side effect of adapting URLs. - ?
