Is migrating from phpbb v2 to ver 3 worth it?

i have been using phpbb ver 2 and used the seo mods from this forum and i am happy with how well it worked.

I wanted to upgrade to phpbb3 and am worried that i wont be able to keep the same url structure that i have.
Are the new features worth the hassle of ugrading?
I also wanted to upgrade for security reasons , because im using an older version of phpbb

It's even more than worth it, since it will pretty soon be mandatory : the end of phpBB2.
You can pretty much keep your phpBB2 url structure, but it's not mandatory, since you can very easily and properly redirect (HTTP 301) the phpBB2 url to the phpBB3 ones with the zero duplicate.

You'll just need to keep the phpBB2 rewriterules up and running at the end of your new phpBB3 .htaccess for the zero dupe to do it's job.

I suggest you give a try to our SEO premod on a local / test server, it's installed within no time, and converting could be a great occasion to end up with even better urls, so trying it is a good way to understand the vast possibilities.
