Modifying BBCodes?

How easy is it to modify the CODE BBtags to do something else?

No one uses them on my website, so I want to have them bold something and also have a url inside. I also wanna add some javascript as well. Here's an example:

[code=http://www.phpbb-seo.com]PHPBB-SEO[/code]

I want the above to work so when someone highlights the code, it opens up the URL attached to the code, using the onClick=javascript:window.open event.

How hard would it be to implement something like that, since the CODE BBTag currently doesn't deal with URLs?

Pretty hard IMO, most likely harder than implementing a dedicated one.
