Upgrade to 3.0.1 and 0.4.2

I have a 3.0 forum with 0.4.0 as well as Zero Dupe 0.4.0.

I am looking for the recommended upgrade path. My guess is the following:
- upgrade to phpBB 3.0.1
- upgrade to rewrite 0.4.2
- upgrade to zero dupe 0.4.2

Now since I have all of this I would assume the manual method of all of these would be the safest.

Yes, but you can do it all at once with the changed file package (the phpBB 3 original one).

The idea is to re-mod all the updated files in the changed file list and to update the one that would only need it for our mods.
Of course local testing is advised given the amount of file updated (for phpBB3, our mods are easier to update), this way, once everything is checked, you'll only have to upload all new files and run the install/database_update.php script once done to update the db.

To circumvent the functions.php file issue, you can use the premod changed file update package directly (not the updated file, only the install/ dir).

Thanks I may wait a bit, but it really sucks there is not a easymod like mod out for phpBB3. These installs are rather time consuming. For people with custom templates and etc there really is not much of a option other than manual right now.

For styles, it's a bit of pain, but winmerge can help you out, and you only have to check the updated files.
