Error with htaccess?

Hi. I have been searching the forums all day for some help but could not find anything close to my issue. I have wordpress in my main site and am incorporating a forum into the site.

I installed the premod into my 3.01 phpbb. After the installation, when I put the .htaccess on the root (my phpbb is installed in a forum folder of the site though). The urls are rewritten properly in the url bar, but my site just defaults to an error. The forum page won't open. The url is rewritten but not leading me to the correct place. I thought that I was close to populating my forum but I am erroring out. Please if someone can assist me. Love the work you all are doing.

You need to either :

put the phpBB SEO rewriterules before the wordpress ones, since wordpress rewriterules do not let anything go beyond them :
