Hi guys,
My current board is at www.solarfreaks.com.
I have installed the board to my home directory.
I now wish to add a homepage so when i type in www.solarfreaks.com it doesnt go to the board, but to the homepage.
What do i do??
I was thinking i can rename the forum index to forum.html, that way i can have a index page at index.html. will this work?? and if it does, how can i stop the forum index from renaming itself from forum.html to /.
Thanks. |

You need to use the DirectoryIndex directive in your domain's root .htaccess, something like :
| Code: |
DirectoryIndex portal.php index.php index.html index.htm |
at the very beginning. Just replace portal by whatever is your file name for the file to load before index.php.
About using forum.html or whatever for the forum index, please read the install file, it's all explained in there
